Daisies by Liam Jones

Theses daisies are growing in darkness, they are alive and dripping and violent, like splattered eggs.  The canvas is full of memory and texture, layered with transparencies.  It's not your typical flower painting, instead it's loaded with meaning and feeling.

The Cool Of The Day by Liam Jones

"The Cool Of The Day" was painted for a light, modern interior.  It's easy on the senses, friendly and whimsical but to me, it speaks to how precious innocence and communion with God is and how easy it is to lose it, borrowing the phrase from Genesis 3:8:  "And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden."
